Toby and Jill meet in Hollywood. Their paths there are different. Toby went to Hollywood to escape a predicament in his hometown. He had always wanted to be an actor to please his mother. The opportunity presented itself when he got a girl pregnant.
Years later Josephine is living in Texas. She ends up getting involved with David who is rich and handsome.
But David leaves her to marry a woman his mother has chosen for him. Josephine takes off to Hollywood as Jill Castle. There she will meet Toby. But life does not turn out to be such a fairytale for these two.
